In Sanatan tradition, Ekadashi is regarded as a highly sacred day. It is dedicated to the worship of Lord Narayan, the preserver of the universe. Observing a fast on Ekadashi is believed to cleanse all sins and relieve devotees of their sufferings. Ekadashi is said to destroy all afflictions and hardships, granting a prosperous and peaceful life to those who observe it.
The Significance of Rama Ekadashi
On the day of Rama Ekadashi, worshiping Lord Vishnu and donating to the underprivileged, distressed, and helpless brings relief from sins and sufferings. With the blessings of Lord Vishnu, one may attain salvation at the end of life. Lord Krishna explained the significance of Rama Ekadashi to Dharmaraj Yudhishthir in detail. According to the Padma Purana, “Whoeverobserves a fast and donates with a pure heart on this day will attain a place in Vaikuntha Dham and be free from all the troubles of life.”

“Charity and sacrifice are selfless, and serving others is the greatest duty. When one helps those in need, they begin to ascend the steps to heaven.”
