Success Story : Sujit

Sujit Kumar, a 29-year-old resident of Sonbhadra in Uttar Pradesh, had a happy life with his parents and wife. He worked as a truck driver and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. However, on March 4, 2020, his life took a turn for the worse when he was involved in a serious accident.

Sujit had just finished having tea and breakfast at a hotel and was getting into his truck when an uncontrolled heavy vehicle crashed into his truck from behind. He was rushed to a hospital in Mumbai, where he received treatment for six days. Unfortunately, due to an infection in his right leg, it had to be amputated.

This incident left Sujit’s life in shambles. He was bedridden, and his family was burdened with the cost of his treatment. However, their fortunes changed when they learned about the Narayan Seva Sansthan, which provides free artificial limbs and other services to those in need. Sujit visited the Sansthan, where he was fitted with a special artificial leg.

After the next six months, Sujit returned to the Sansthan and he also received free training in tailoring. This gave him the skills he needed to start his own business and support his family. However, just when things were starting to look up, tragedy struck again. On February 15, Sujit’s wife passed away due to a heart attack.

Despite this setback, Sujit remained determined to move forward. He knew that he had to take care of his elderly parents and himself, and he was grateful for the training he had received at the Narayan Seva Sansthan. With his newfound skills, he started his own business, and he was filled with enthusiasm for the future.
